How do I change my start date?
You can change you start date via your addiction settings. You can get here in a couple of ways:
Once there, you should be able to tap on your addiction's settings. From the settings screen you can change your start date, start time, savings, etc.
Along with the addiction settings icon, you should also notice an option for Reset which will reset your start date (and time) to now.
Why does my sober start date keep resetting?
When you are reviewing your day, any time you select "No" when it asks if you stuck to your pledge - the app will reset your start date for that addiction.
How do I add more than one addiction?
Yes, you can add up to 3 addictions for free, and even more if you subscribe to Sober Plus.
From the main counter screen, tap the menu icon in the top-left corner to bring up the addictions menu. Here you can add, edit, or remove your addictions.
My addiction is not in your list! How do I add it?
You can also add your own custom addiction. When you are adding or editing your addiction, you should see two options in the top-right corner for "List" and "Custom". Tapping on "Custom" will allow you to type in the name of whatever you want.
However, one thing to note is that by making your addiction custom, you will be grouped in the Custom addiction community.

How do I post a story?
You can post a story by visiting a milestone feed inside in the community tab. Here you should see a big blue plus icon in the bottom right corner. Tapping this will bring up the screen to let you post.

How do I block someone?
If you'd no longer like to see stories or comments from a user, you can block them by doing this:
If you ever decide to unblock someone, you can find a list of blocked users in your account screen under settings.
Someone keep posting inappropriate content. How can we get them to stop?
While we try to review and moderate content ourselves, we rely on our community to help us.
Besides blocking someone, you can flag stories and comments by tapping on the flag icons you'll see next to stories and comments.
However, if you feel someone consistently posts inappropriate, abusive, or toxic material, please reach out to us at email@example.com.
What data do you store on my account?
This depends on if you are a Sober Plus subscriber or not.
If you are a subscriber, we keep a secured backup of your data stored in the cloud so that you can restore in case you ever lose your device.
If you are not a subscriber, we only store your email and profile photo, and your community related data (like stories, comments, etc).
How do I delete my account?
You can reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org and be sure to tell us your account email or username that you'd like to delete.
You can still use the app anonymously without an account if you'd like.
I'm not getting any notification alerts! What do I do?
If you have notifications turned on and you're still not receiving them, you need to make sure you have them enabled at the system level. You can do this by going to the Settings app on your device.
You should also ensure that you don't have Do Not Disturb turned on at the time you plan to recieve your notifications.
For iOS, scroll down until you see I Am Sober and inside of there ensure you have Notifications turned on.
For Android, tap into Apps and then scroll down until you see I Am Sober. Inside of there ensure you have Notifications turned on.
